This is the beautiful little cottage we stayed in at the Shamrock Thistle & Crown Bed & Breakfast in Lady Lake.  Notice the HUGE pecan tree that towered over it!

Saturday we went to The Village's Town Square called Sumter Landing. Here we are in a restaurant called Johnny Rockets.  We played a few songs on the Juke Box while we ate.

After dinner we sat down at the pavilion in the middle of town.  Each night they have entertainment, and people come down, take a couple of plastic chairs off the pile and sit down wherever they want.  We found that we were uncomfortably comfortable with this retired crowd.  We closed the place down at 9:00!!  (yes, Rick actually missed Bill O'reilly AND he got up and danced a few times!)

Saturday we went to the Austin Carriage Museum.  We weren't allowed to take photos inside, but it was spectacular!  We spent about 3 hours there.  Then we drove around the property, the Austin Foundation owns about 385 acres that is dedicated to horses.

This cute "little" house was across from the Austin Museum - we thought it looked very nice up on the hill.

After the Museum we went to The Village's second Town Square, Spanish Springs.

Almost every restaurant had seating outside so you could eat while watching the crowd go by.  Perfect for people-watchers like us.

thevillagesspanishsprings29.jpg (58477 bytes) There was a car show at Spanish Springs, they must have had over 100 cars there!  Everyone got to vote for their favorite car.   thevillagesspanishsprings30.jpg (62635 bytes)

Saturday night we stayed at Spanish Springs, they had a couple singing (above).  Our favorite person to watch was a guy they called Buffalo Bob.  We had already seen Bob the night before work his magic.  He could barely walk, but somehow Bob managed to dance with more women than any guy there!  That's Bob sitting by himself on the left, waiting for the women to arrive.  (and that's also Bob dancing with a few women in the other 2 photos!)

Each morning we were served a delicious homemade breakfast.  This is the room we ate in, and we met some very interesting and entertaining people.

Brantley showed his Irish humor Sunday morning after breakfast! (he may have as many jokes as Rick does!)
