New Light Presents...

Wow, I had a weird dream. Dreamed I had
been
invited to a public
stoning.
Funny thing was, I arrived and the man to be stoned wasn't there.
In fact, an armed guard had been posted to make sure he couldn't be
there. The centurion even had photos of the man and his family so
he could identify them if they tried to enter the arena.

But this was, at least, a civilized stoning.
Men wore ties and
women wore nice outfits. Cookies and lemonade were being served.
I
guess it doesn't work well to stone someone on an empty stomach.
And real stones weren't being used; rather
words written years ago were substituted.
Strangely, the people who
were said to have written the words weren't there either. A special
counselor read the words. It was, all in all, a very efficient and
effective stoning.
I got to thinking, our police and courts have it all wrong.
If they
would simply operate that way they could put a lot more people in
prison and in the electric chair. Unfortunately, they have this stupid
piece of paper called a "Constitution" to abide by which
won't let them do that. They have to actually give people something
called a "fair trial". How silly of them.
Oh well, time to go back to sleep, I suppose.
But first some
lemonade and cookies, perhaps. As soon as I wash the blood off my
hands...
